In 2015 Lelisa Desisa Won the Boston Marathon Again, This Time for Himself

BOSTON — Two hours after Lelisa Desisa won the Boston Marathon in 2013, two bombs ripped through the finish area, killing three spectators and wounding 264 others.

In the aftermath, Desisa formed a bond with the people of Boston and presented his winner’s medal back to the city.

On Monday, Desisa, a 25-year-old Ethiopian, won the men’s elite race in Boston again, pulling away from an uncommonly large pack of contenders in the last few miles for a commanding victory in 2 hours 9 minutes 17 seconds.

I always thought it was so nice that Desisa cam back and won again; this time on a much happier note.

Boston bids goodbye to Paul Pierce

BOSTON – Boston sports fans might be storming the streets by the end of Sunday night. During the day, however, they stood on their feet as they said goodbye to one of their heroes. Paul Pierce played his 560th and final game at TD Garden Sunday afternoon as a member of the visiting Los Angeles Clippers. But he sure wasn’t sent off like a visitor. Instead, he was sent off in style, like the Celtics icon that he is.

Curt Schilling Baffled By Jewish People, Asks Jake Tapper To Explain

It’s rarely a good sign when someone has to qualify their response with, “Well, I don’t speak for the Jews…”

I’m a Boston fan and being a Sox fan I’ll always love Schilling for the Bloody Sock.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why the hell people keep letting him speak though!

Walz: A Democrat’s case for charter schools

Boston charter schools achieve tremendous results. They rank among the top public schools in the state, with long wait lists.

Walz: A Democrat’s case for charter schools | Boston Herald

I actually love Marty Walz but she is dead wrong on this.

Charter schools siphon resources away from other public schools, further weakening them. Period.

Charter schools leave children who have less resources at home behind, effectively sentencing them to a lifetime of reduced circumstances.

Charter schools prioritize the advancement of the few over improvements for all.

…And that is the opposite of what the public education system is for.

On the other hand, I do believe this is what the majority of her constituents believe and you can’t fault her for representing them.

Not going to happen.

Hillary Clinton isn’t picking Elizabeth Warren for vice president. Here’s why. – The Washington Post

No shit. Plus Warren swore up down and sideways she wasn’t going to beg for Ted’s seat and then leave it empty. If she abandons the Senate seat she got thousands of people to bleed sweat and tears to get her into… Well, hopefully she’d be banned from ever entering Massachusetts again. Oh, and spit on in the street. Because she would deserve it.
