Blackout Tuesday: The Bernie Sanders Speech Corporate Media Chose Not To Air | Common Dreams | Breaking News & Views for the Progressive Community

Bullshit. If no cable news outlets ran the speech, how was I able to watch it last night? Secondly, if you say the same 60 minute speech every time there is no good reason to broadcast all of it. Bernie supporters need to ditch the persecution complexes and leave the childish whining at the door.

It wasn’t a typical debate.

Don Lemon (along with most of the “journalists” at CNN) is an embarrassment.

It’s surreal that CNN is what passes for journalism in today’s cultural climate. The entire network (sorry Anderson, but you choose to work there so the association is on you) is a national embarrassment.

Democratic Primaries: Sanders gets enough to stay on

Saturday is not as super as Tuesday. On March 1st, there were 11 states at stake; on March 5th, there were only three. On Tuesday, the score was seven for Hillary Clinton, four for Sanders; on Saturday it was two for Sanders (Nebraska, Kansas) and one for Hillary Clinton (Louisiana). Bottom line: Clinton is leading with over 200 delegates.

He never denied walking into a polling place. His mere presence there doesn’t constitute campaigning. That part should be obvious. Unless these people are trying to assert that by virtue of who he is he is always campaigning (even while sleeping one would imagine because he never stops being Bill Clinton) then he did nothing wrong by merely walking into a polling location. That is a super anti-American sentiment, that just because the is who he is, he is not allowed into places where everyone else is welcome.

What a load of crap. He didn’t violate any laws, no matter how many hyperbole memes Bernie’s side creates. The American public’s understanding of election law and how the election system works in this country is tenuous at best. All hail the Idiocracy? Sigh….

UN human rights chief: FBI risks ‘unlocking a Pandora’s Box’ if Apple is forced to unlock iPhone

The U.N. joined Facebook, Google and many other tech firms in backing Apple in the fight with the FBI.

The top human rights authority at the United Nations warned Friday that if the FBI succeeds in forcing Apple to unlock an iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino attackers, it could have “tremendous ramifications” around the world and “potentially [be] a gift to authoritarian regimes, as well as to criminal hackers.”
