“It’s one of the worst decisions in the history of the country. We have totally destabilized the Middle East.” “We spent $2 trillion,” Trump said about the Iraq war. “Could have rebuilt our country. We could have done so much with that money. And instead, we’re worse in the Middle East than we were 15 years ago. Right now, it’s a disaster.”

It’s gotta sting the G.O.P. when that guy is the only one talking sense.
Ali Shamkhani, chief of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, claimed today that U.S. Republican officials reached out to Tehran asking that the recent release of four American prisoners be delayed until after the upcoming presidential election. There are very good reasons to be skeptical of Shamkhani’s claim. If it is true, it is completely insane.
What the fuck is so insane about the G.O.P. doing the exact same thing they did in the Carter-Reagan era hostage crisis? Nothing, that is what. Gawker needs to grow up and pull their collective thumbs out of their asses.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the European Union on Thursday of holding his country to a double standard, (and I presume that nomenclature would apply to any and all standards Israel did not find convenient?) and reserved special criticism for Sweden… proceeding to whine like a yappy little bitch.
Israel has been at odds with the EU over its decision to require labeling of exports from Israeli settlements in the West Bank. (Because, “nothing to see here, move along” like they are South Park or something?)
Relations with Sweden, however, have deteriorated since it recognized Palestinian statehood last year. Think of how much easier life would be for all parties if they just got over it…
