How We Failed to Protect Kesha

Kesha, a 28-year-old woman who’s been working in the music industry for a full decade, might think she knows what’s best for her. She might think it’s in her best interest to sever all ties with the man who allegedly raped and continually hurt her, but—really—what does she know? Sony’s invested $60 million in her career, their attorneys reminded the judge—what’s an emotional and physical violation compared to that?“

Our interest is in her success,” claimed a Sony lawyer. “Our interest is in Dr. Luke’s success. They are not in the least bit mutually exclusive.” In other words, we know what’s good for her. And what’s good for her is recording six more albums with a company that heard her claims of abuse and said, “Your story means nothing.”

How We Failed to Protect Kesha

Yup.

Two more piggies that need to go to jail. For life.

Nuh-uh, $45k is not enough for killing a woman. The officer needs to be demoted and suspended without pay during the investigation. The doctors in charge should be charged with negligent homicide and whoever made the call to have her arrested should be jailed for improper use of public resources.

A woman’s life and dignity is worth than a measly $45k.

Oh, and Florida is a such a shit stain on the entire country!

His mom is one thing (it’s a family issue) but they misidentify his gender after ending his life? Insult to injury. Assholes.

Quintonio LeGrier Called 911 3 Times Before Fatal Shooting: IPRA | NBC Chicago

The 911 operator hasn’t been fired yet?

That person should be fired, no questions asked, because clearly they suck at their job bad enough that it cost someone their life. That’s clearly grounds for dismissal.

As for being investigated… Who the hell is investigating the cops who killed a teenager who called begging for help?!

Chicago cop suing family of teen shooting victim

Sadly, with not a single police officer convicted in the 1,205 officer related deaths of 2015, civil cases end up being one of the only ways families can receive even a semblance of justice. For a lawyer to speak so flippantly about a family who so horrendously lost a child to police violence, just shows how deep the chasm between law enforcement and the people really is.

Outrageous!

He should be fired without pension and prosecuted for the murder he committed.

The city of Chicago should sue his ass for dereliction of duty, misuse of tax payer resources, and being a whiny little bitch. If Quintonio’s life counts for nothing, neither does yours Rialmo. Fuck you and you r self-inflicted distress. Actually fuck you up the ass every time you turn around in the shower, because that what cops in jail get and that’s where you should be.

Snicker. Police unions are gangsters and anyone who upholds the thin blue line rather than justice for the innocent deserves a lot worse than this shithead murderer is going to get.

Peter Liang Trial Continues — NYMag

The second day of the NYPD officer’s trial continues.

[Miguel Riveria] said that he heard Liang’s partner ask the officer to call in the shooting repeatedly. Officer Salvatore Tramontana said that he didn’t have his gun out when entering the stairwell, and that he immediately began doing CPR on Gurley, taking over from his girlfriend, when he arrived, something that neither Liang or his partner had managed to do.

Oh my dear, you are wrong. It is the NYPD on trial. Their training, their personnel,  and their tactics. It’s their thin blue line. Stand together, fall together.
