  1. Oh man, and I know where that school district is, too. I think it’s freaking ridiculous to try and make someone cut their hair for a graduation ceremony. Seriously? Or anything else. I hate how schools are obsessed with hair length, styles, colors. I hate how the rule-makers go nuts over shorts-length and strap-widths on tops. Why not educate the little darlings? Isn’t that your main job anyway?

And a graduation ceremony–if they didn’t say anything all freaking year (or the kid’s school career), why now? That’s the dumbest thing in the world to me, and I hope the district either gets smart about such a stupid, mindless policy, or they get their pants sued off for it. I’m good for either, but for the sake of the students, I’m hoping they get smart before the courts force ’em to. Then maybe there will be a smidge of dignity left to scrape up off the ground and they can go back to hiring teachers and planning school events without incident.
