LONDON (AP) — Time Out magazine has defended its use of a slogan including the word slave on a T-shirt worn by Meryl Streep to promote the movie “Suffragette,” arguing that critics have taken the quote out of context.

Without getting into whether or not this was a poor or thoughtless choice of words….
Women tearing down women talking about women empowering each other. What the hell is wrong with this picture?!
Could a lot of the accusing, name-calling, “outing,” and just generally being holier than thou and judge-y that comes out of the left could be avoided by better education?
Or just empathy for each other even?
Would progressive have whined less if they knew the history of the phrasing?
Would Americans be less reactionary and authoritarian if they had more of a global perspective?
Will the left ever stop picking off and hostilely separating itself from its allies with its litmus tests?
Does it all just come down to liberals being incapable of assuming good intent?
