Climbers Abandon Mount Everest Expedition After Brawling With Sherpas – ABC News.

MMM, sure buddie. It was the violence. The violence that happened after you disrespected some sherpas enough to be chased off the mountain.

More accurately, without the help of the Sherpas their whites asses weren’t gonna make it.

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

“The Anglican… origins of your church came from a rejection of central authority. And, when you became a bishop some of the Episcopalians snapped off and tried to become Anglican again, so they’d have a central authority to tell you were wrong. That’s delicious.”
– Stephen Colbert

“(Being an Episcopalian) is like Advanced Placement religion. It’s for thinking people.”

10 Things Most Americans Don’t Know About America | Der Bananenplanet

10 Things Most Americans Don’t Know About America | Der Bananenplanet.

LOL! what is this guy twelve? Does he really think he’s the only person who knows any of this? Plus his family sounds weird.

1. & 2.) Um, duh.

3.) No shit, Sherlock. For someone knocking other people’s knowledge (or lack there of) you have a pretty unsophisticated understanding of the fate of Native Americans though. Who do you think contributed unfamiliar, unsanitary and unhealthy conditions to the party? Not to mention introducing the germs to the population in the first place…

4.A) OK, sure, I’ll grant you Americans are, by and large, not necessarily in touch by their feelings. Compared to who though? I’m thinking of cultures where it is the norm to promise what can’t be given because to do otherwise is bad manners. Speaking of cultural variances, perhaps you would have found yourself more at home on the Left Coast than in New England and the South? J

4.B) If you are more concerned about your own comfort than of the woman you are addressing why should express gratitude for your affections? Besides, “every other culture?” Because I can think of a few where approaching a woman you don’t know to establish a connection would be somewhat frowned upon and disrespectful.

5. & 6.) We’re back to the land of no shit, Sherlock.

I’ll give 7, not because it is news but because it is true and it is depressing.

8.) Compared to who again? Humans are status obsessed and seek attention. This varies from culture to culture but in a myriad of interpretations, it is there. Americans put are own slant on it. I can also think of similar patterns of behavior in cultures scattered across the globe.

9.) No shit, Dick Tracy.

10.) Oh really? That is a solely American trait and not the scourge of industrial civilizations everywhere? hmmm.
