Even many of the Americans who feel mistreated acknowledge that the Mexicans who arrive on buses for a limited period are incredibly efficient, often working into the night seven days a week to increase their pay.

“We are not going to run all the time,” said Henry Rhymes, who was fired — unfairly, he says — from Southern Valley after a week on the job. “We are not Mexicans.”

Jon Schwalls, director of operations at Southern Valley, made a similar point.

“When Jose gets on the bus to come here from Mexico he is committed to the work,” he said. “It’s like going into the military. He leaves his family at home. The work is hard, but he’s ready. A domestic wants to know: What’s the pay? What are the conditions? In these communities, I am sorry to say, there are no fathers at home, no role models for hard work. They want rewards without input.”

The connection to fatherhood in “these communities” is bullshit but the article is interesting.

I’ll believe that when I see it.

Lt. Col. Jeffrey Krusinski, 41, served as a[n AirForce] branch chief for the service’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program. He was arrested and charged with sexual battery over the weekend and had been removed from current duty, an Air Force official said Monday.

Not at all surprising but seriously AF, that’s just inept and tacky. If you can’t keep the troops from turning on each other how the hell do you expect the public to have any confidence in your shoddy outfit to accomplish any missions at all?

If the Military can’t even keep their own people safe they clearly are not up to the task of defending the country.

Incompetent, backwards assholes.

Whistle-blowing means calling out people who malicious do wrong when they know better.

That is not what Mr. Hicks did.

Perhaps he said more than his superior deemed appropriate for public safety and ongoing investigations?

In any case, he accomplished nothing except making himself look like a bad employee and a non-Team player.

Demoted to a desk seems appropriate to me.
