Reading this I am struck by how important Israel seems to believe treating its children gently and with human compassion is.

And I can’t help but contrast this with the starvation and exposure to, at best, racist discrimination and, at worst, everyday violence and sectarian murder the Israeli government is perfectly OK with exposing every single Arab child to.

And in the end I come away with very little sympathy for the Israeli government’s policies.
