It’s very nice that these people pulled their heads out of their asses in an effort to protect their own son but the undercurrent to this story is that if it had not affected them personally they would still be raging bigots.

Perhaps God or Jesus would say forgive and forget but seeing as how I am neither one of these characters I am underwhelmed with their new “open-mindedness.”
