West Point cadet quits, cites ‘criminal’ behavior of officers – U.S. News
“light of day defiance of the Uniform Code of Military Justice through unconstitutional proselytism, discrimination against the non-religious and establishing formal policies to reward, encourage and even at times require sectarian religious participation.”
I do not doubt that what the cadet describes has become the norm inside our military. Beyond being immoral, un-American and in the face of everything the flag represents ,it is also quite probably contributing in no small way to the US Military’s inability to close a deal or accomplish anything over the past decade or so.
One cannot serve two masters. If military officers would like to be surrounded by members of a religion &/or belief system they approve of then they should be relived of their commissions and given brochures for seminary school because they sure as hell don’t deserve to wear the uniform of US military officer if they can not grasp a simple concept like separation of church and state.
Perhaps they would all better suited to serving as chaplains to a private militia?
They definitely are a detriment to our military and our national security of they can’t keep their priorities straight while wearing the uniform.
