F’ing Putin. Swinging the pendulum far in one direction only makes the swing back more dramatic. The more he clamps down, the more the people will feel the need to push back.

Sidenote:
When will civilized society reach a state in which the civil governement knows its place and no longer feels compelled to mix up the laws of man and the laws of the divine? Religion doesn’t need the state to back it up. It is either the turth or it isn’t.
