Tar Sands: When This Oil Spills, It’s ‘A Whole New Monster’ : NPR

We have got to stop fucking around like no harm can come to us from this wonderful substance. Sure we use it, it’s great but we have to protect ourselves and our municiple resources from harm too.

Why the hell aren’t the companies required to come up with realistic logistical plans to clean up the enevitable spills BEFORE they build an offshore rig or a pipeline? It seems like it’d save a lot of time and trouble to not bullshit the first time.
