I just read some bullshit from an older (baby boomer -ish) woman about how some women are lucky enough to be able to choose to stay home with the children but some work have to work.

You know what?

Fuck you, you sanctimonious twat. Oh lucky women get to choose to stay home and be nothing more than a housewife dependant on her man for the clothes on back, the food she eats and the roof over her head? Lucky, lucky them.

What if, gasp, a woman chooses not to stay home with her children? What if a woman chooses not to have her status as a mother 100% define who she is? What if a woman WANTS to work outside the home?  Why does this choice make her less “lucky” than a 1950’s housewife?

The values implicit in this whole discussion make me want to throw up.

Some women have to work, some women choose to stay home and some women CHOOSE to work outside the home. Apparently these poor suckers haven’t realized that the proper choice was to be barefoot, pregnant and beholden to a man for your very subsitence. Poor dears!
