1)I think Tito is being scapegoated. I blame Theo

least equally as I would lay blame at Tito’s feet but I’d reserve most of it for those who should have been the leaders in the beers pitchers but were.

They will get behind players who play with heart just as quickly as they will turn on good players who play like they are too good to be bothered to care.

See, here’s the thing Becket, even if you were king of the drinking crew, you’re no Kevin Millar. Some people raise a glass to bring people in, get their spirits up and focused on the whole team playing together as best they as they are able. Other people can raise the same glass but not the energy. Millar is a leader, he can pull shit like that off. You’re like the anti-leader.

2.) Where the fuck was Papi last year? If I’m to accept this commonly agreed upon version of last year’s locker room where we blame Tito and then throw around Tek or Theo’s name but not the actual asssholes who didn’t bother to pretend they cared, or the equally douchey assholes who had the balls to try and suggest it was God’s fault that the players did not live up to the ability God himself had given them and didn’t get off their asses to play hard enough. As if. (Crawford, don’t blame God for not using what he gave you, that’s just tacky!) If I am to accept this bullshit version of events where was Papi?

I’m glad Wakefield and Varitek retired as Red Sox. It shows meaningful commitment on both their and the team’s part. Sox fans love that shit. Whether or not Ortiz actually came up with the idea for the speach or not i like that this is the direction they are starting off in. I like it. Thank you big Papi.
