BBC News – US Army apology for photos of soldiers with Afghan body

This cowboy shit needs to stop.
It might feel good in the moment for the troops and one might be tempted to say it is understandable or just a part of war but that is short sighted and unbeliveably dangerous.
These types of pictures not only work against our fight to win over hearts and minds but put other American troops in tangible danger because it fuels the hatred of us.
With thast in mind IMHO soldiers that engage in these sorts of actions – and get caught – need to publicly sanctions.
It is, or need to be, a rule not to incite the enemy and justify the propaganda they spread among civilians about us. If members of the military have trouble with it, well, then perhaps they need to find a career that isn’t so dependant on following rules.
