Seriously? This is being reported as news too? Am I the only fucking person on the planet who has read the Bible? It’s not like it’s been around for two millenia or anything.

Um, duh! The Christians coopted the symbol of the cross from pagan populations they were trying to convert. Everywhere they went they adopted the local agrarian based religious symbolism so to make the religion seem commonplace to people with their own established traditions. this is how we get Easter Bunnies, Easter Eggs, Santa Claus, Christmas Trees, Yule Logs, etc. etc. I can not belive this is a “new” revelation. Damn the American population is fucking stupid.
