wide open for what?
Is there really a big hole in the GOP that racist assholes who make up their own version of histroy to suit their twisted, ignorant little world view as they go along category?

Isn’t Trump doing a fine job as paranoid racist in the news?

What, they need two blowhards making it absolutely clear just how backwards they are willing to go?

Alleged Illegal Searches by NYPD May Be Increasing Marijuana Arrests – WNYC

more and more we need someone to police the police.
Since the Reagan years they have become more and more lawless and they have absolutely no consequences to their unlawful and unjust behavior.
They are not above the law and it is my personal opinion that if an officer bends the law to make an arrest, not only should the arrest be thrown out but the officer should be cited, sanctioned, suspended and forced to do victim-service.
And by that I mean they need to do 20 hours of service for the person they wronged.
In uniform but without the badge they lost the privilege of wearing.
Cops above the law are a bigger danger to public welfare than any other kind of criminal.
It disgusts me that even slightest infractions are tolerated by America’s (far from ) finest.

Guantánamo Files – Flawed Evidence for Assessing Risk – NYTimes.com

OK, call me crazy but this is what I learn from this information:

Our vaunted intelligence community is inept.

We kill people an bomb communities based on foggy guesses and anyone, in any other industry – from fast food to brain surgery – who was that fumbling, that inept, that wrong all the fucking time, would have been fired eons ago. Why do we persist in allowing intelligence work like this?
It is an embarrassment.

The rule book sounds like an arbitrary guide to guessing when you have absolutely nothing to go on.

If this is how we deal with intelligence and POWs no fucking wonder we can’t win a war to save our service people’s lives.

It is is bullshit like this, pretending to know when we really don’t and coming up with such idiotic policies that we actually prevent ourselves from ever knowing anything that will rip this country from superpower status if the empire has not crumbled already.

I full on disagree.
The problem is not direct democracy but irresponsible and dishonest leadership. I’m not just talking about the figure heads (i.e. the Gov) I’m talking about the legislature and the governments of larger cities.
Their corruption and irresponsibility is what created the chaos.
