Weed Myths Examined – Rolling Stone

BTW BHO, it’s not a stoner issue. It’s a law and order and tax payer issue.

1. The government should not be cooperating with competitive industries to spread false medical information (um? duh!) to the citizenry.

2. Tax dollars that are spent on pursuing non-violent, non-property damaging, non-public safety threatening crimes are diverted away from locking up criminals who seek to harm other members of our society.

3. Laws like this are creating a de facto racial-economic caste system, which in turn drives up tax payer costs and culls the pool of tax payers contributing to the costs (increasing the cost for each individual tax payer.)

” Government transparency advocates say that Manning’s sentence is unprecedented for the United States. ‘We’ve never seen this long a prison sentence for leaks to the press,’ says Ben Wizner, director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Speech, Privacy, and Technology project. ‘This is new ground for the U.S.’

Following the ruling, Amnesty International called on President Obama to commute Manning’s sentence. “Bradley Manning should be shown clemency in recognition of his motives for acting as he did, the treatment he endured in his early pre-trial detention, and the due process shortcomings during his trial,” said Widney Brown, Amnesty’s senior director of international law and policy, in a statement.”

Wow, anyone who bought and sucked down BHO’s brand of lying liberalism should be choking on it right about now.

“Pfc. Manning is a high-profile example of the administration’s crackdown on leaks. It has used the 1917 Espionage Act to prosecute more than twice as many people for mishandling secret government information as all other administrations combined.

Seven people, including Pfc. Manning and Mr. Snowden, have been charged under the act. Before President Barack Obama took office, only three people faced similar charges.”
