Pot fans cheer Tuesday’s historic Senate hearing

Kevin Sabet works for the Obama administration which makes him an ineffectual, incompetent, bought and paid for by big business,  useless, out of touch, ill-informed, ignorant but completely sanctimonious and self-righteous, hack.

He should sit down, shut the fuck up and let grown ups with actual cognitive abilities talk. 

BHO, years from now one of the many humiliations you will suffer is having your name forever associated with people who lie to the public and spread misinformation. You will end up on the wrong side of history for most of your choices in office and you so richly deserve it.

Meet The Trans Scholar Fighting Against The Campaign For Out Trans Military Service.

Sigh….

Dean seems like a thoughtful, intelligent, caring person who articulates his position very, very well. Too bad he is afflicted by a case of left-itis.

I didn’t find any fault in his logic or position against focusing solely on the military to achieve parity for the trans community. The misguided tactic of critiquing allies is so, so, self-defeating though. It comes off as a little sanctimonious. Positions like this fracture groups and divide resources.

I would be a lot more impressed with Dean’s ability to speak for the trans community if he had phrased his position as, “I think it is great what she is doing. I also want to draw attention to these other important issues,” or something.

The more publicly fractured and sniping the special interest group, the less they get done. Period.

Whether or not Dean agrees with the concept of war in general or the any particular military campaign is far from the bottom line. What makes sense of trans -or any other special interest groups’ – politics is not muddy the issue. Let the peace activists fight war. There is a lot to be gain in a unified movement.
