  1. Let us please differentiate between extremists who profess their loyalty to the Islamic faith and the sum total of Islam, including its doctrines, texts, and adherents.

You know, the same way we take care to differentiate between an extremist Christian who murders others because they have gotten the doctrine wrong and the whole of Christianity.

Nobody likes an extremist. That’s why we call them “Terrorists” and not “Christians” or “Muslims.”

  2. Scholarship disagreement on the age of Zoroastrianism spans thousands of years, some say the religion originated about 300 or so years after Christ, other claims are almost any date up to 5,000 or more years ago. All we know is it is unverified and unverifiable.
We also know that the similarities between Christianity and Zoroastrianism likely came from Persian captives studies of Hebrew captives religion during one of the many instances recorded in the Old Testament of the Bible.
That said, it is sad that a peaceful doctrine is once again suffering from Islam, as Christians are also.
