Israel Launches a Ground Invasion of Gaza. No One Knows How It Will End | TIME.

No one? Hmmm…

I called Israel’s government not being satisfied with anything less than a full on war to satisfy their racist urge to commit genocide.

I’d say they pull back in a few weeks or month, saying they have achieved goals. (Which counts for nothing more than doublespeak because their espoused goal was to rescue three teenagers who they knew were dead the whole time….) What they will have achieved is a multiplicity of warcrimes. The trumped up arrest of at least close to a thousand people whose true crime is to adhere to beliefs with a different name than the name of the beliefs the Israel’s adhere to. The cold blooded murder of hundred of children in areas which have no strategic importance. The cessation of all food and medical supplies for all Palestinians. (And a few self congratulatory articles about how a few pathetic Palestinians have made their way to treatment at an Israeli hospital, never mention the complete lack of options on their own side being a deliberate Israel war tactic.) The death of thousands of Palestinians. the destruction of thousands of homes which Israel will prevent from being rebuilt because fuck what is right or laws. Israel builds homes wherever the fuck it wants and then rips that sanctity of belonging away from everyone else.

They won’t have made any progress in whatever they will say their goals were but they will have made Gaza into much more of a Warsaw ghetto and they will have made great strides towards genocide.

It aches in my heart that a country I used to look on so fondly, used to believe in the rightness of is really run by a bunch of murderous racists whose evil goes completely unchecked.

I don’t want Israel to be destroyed or disappear but after watching them for the past ten-fifteen years I think justice would only be achieved by them getting back exactly what they dish out, in such a way to it spelled out to the entire world this anguish and trauma we experience is what we brought upon other by treating them in this exact same way. Unfortunately I think true justice, true eye for an eye would wipe Israel off the face of the planet. Why is why I cannot believe, even if they are truly, truly racist and bent on the elimination of the race whose land they share they do not conduct themselves with more class and honor. In the long run, treating their neighbors like actually human beings instead of herding them into ghettos like they preparing the showers might be their only actual option if they actually do want peace and security for their citizens.

For now, their government and policies simply and purely disgust me.
