Well, Charlie, it’s pretty simple really. BHO had zero job experience and a lot of rich, loud, people telling him he could do anything he put his mind to.
Whether by innocence or arrogance he bought the hype. BHO refused to believe any other narrative than the one in which he swooped into Washington, D.C. and changed the way the entire government worked because magically he, and he alone, knew how to run things better than anyone who had spent their entire lives working there.
He was naïve enough to think that if he took the high road, everyone else would too. He was arrogant enough to think he could use right and reason to negotiate. Last but not least, the man may be one hell of a campaigner and a heck of a nice guy but he really, truly sucks at the game of politics.
Now that we have elected him, can we please nominate someone with more humility, more savvy, and a few decades more experience???? Pretty please? With sugar on top? Can I please, please, vote for someone with an ounce of sense and the ability to not only tell inspiring stories but get real, actual things done, in real time without shit-canning everything else on the table in favor of one pet project? Please?
I’m not that picky but if we could have someone who has served a full term at the national level that might be a good start…..
