This summer I had the opportunity of bonding with….
“I need feminism because I don’t want my cousins to grow up accepting gender biases and thinking girls don’t do math. I need feminism because if my cousin decides to pursue a STEM related degree, I don’t want her to feel intimidated by the men in the room, and worry about her safety. I need feminism because I want my cousin to challenge the statistic that only 24% of women hold STEM jobs. I want her to grow up in a generation where men and women practice gender equality, and I know feminism can aid in the process of that.”
sigh….
