Reactions Jon Favreau on the The Daily Show

Interview with Former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau – JUNE 5, 2013

Do these guys actually get the difference between whining, blathering on, and talking about having a strong opinion, and actually getting something done about it?

Listening to this hula hooper spew I have two impressions:

One? No, they clearly do not.

Two, this is exactly the tone and line of self-absorbed, out of touch, insincere, swarmy bullshit that made me take a dislike to candidate Barack way back in 2007. It’s like listening in on a corporate boardroom meeting; no one says anything factual because they are too busy putting the best spin on things and telling the room what they think everyone wants to hear.

Yech.

Earth to Self-Satisfied Douchebag Who is Seemingly Incapable of Acknowledging Any Fact He Isn’t Selling,

Did any of you pompous Ivy League douches consider the possibility that the problem wasn’t that these government organizations were set in their ways? Did you ever consider that the problem was actually the White House? The White House who kept insisting they had to change Washington when -in fact- what they had to do was work with Washington? Something the White House made even harder to do when they told the entire federal government and everyone in it that everything they had been doing was wrong, and Barack Obama knew more than they did about how to do their jobs.

Here’s something you probably never learned because you never had a job in the real world, if you want cooperation from your coworkers you might want to avoid them telling them how they suck at their job. Try tell them you are excited to work with them instead. Douchebag.

The reason the President gets so angry is that he has a vision of government that could be helpful? Holy crap! You know what I have a vision of? A President who is actually able to enact the agenda he was elected to put in place. Doesn’t do me any good either. Who the fuck cares about his vision? I’m tons more interested in why he surrounds himself with people who can’t tell the difference between vision and reality or know why the fuck the difference is important in the first place.

The IRS scandal is OK because California’s health care has improved. Seriously? So BHO is suppose to get a pass on being one shitty-ass head of the entire government because one program is working better in one out of fifty states?

The administration’s basic inability to get along or work with anyone around them translates into a “it could be worse attitude?” I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Things aren’t perfect? Back to it’s alright that we got nothing done because Obama had a vision. You know what my vision was? Of a guy who didn’t mean what he said and wouldn’t be able to play the game well enough to get anything done because he didn’t have enough experience to know what the heck he was doing. You know what happened to my vision? He was elected President.

The VA is a perfect example of a government that is not only being run poorly, but being run worse than it was before 2008, (if that is even possible!) and your answer is what, “The President has been harping on this since…”

Earth to idiot, you do know that there is a difference between harping on something and fixing a problem, right? Because if you do, then you are halfway to understanding that simply harping on something is not all even trying to get something done. That is the worst fucking answer in the history of interviews.

“The one thing was everyone realized when we got there is that it is extremely difficult to…” Gotta cut you off right there. You realized this when you got there? Do you realize what a fucking inept bunch of losers it makes the entire administration if you guys only realized it would be extremely difficult to change how all of the agencies in all of the government work once you got there? For no one to realize that beforehand speaks volumes about how absolutely unprepared the entire administration from the top on down was. (toldyousotoldyouso!)

Oh, it’s Congress’s fault Obama didn’t reorganize government. Wahh, wahhh, wahhh. It wasn’t the fact that was an unrealistic, hubris filled, stroke of incompetent arrogance to think such a gigantic task could be accomplished or even should be attempted in the face of much more pressing and immediate concerns for millions of Americans. The BHO WH bears no responsibility for starting off an antagonistic note with every single agency in Washington. Certainly BHO did no wrong in misleading the American public about what was possible or being stupid enough to not realize what he promised wasn’t possible. Sure, buddie. Does that line of bullshit work on your peers at the University Club?

“I think if you asked him, he’d say, ‘Yeah, we’ve got to work on that.” Gee, where have I heard that before? Was it maybe the answer to every single question, on every subject under the sun while candidate Barack was starting off in the Primary? Do you realize that by now that those are hollow, empty words? Apparently not. For such a smart young man, you seem to exist in a truly ignorant and slightly pompous bubble.

“And we’ve got to keep at.” So just to clarify, when you keep at it, is that just more harping or is there any sort of a plan for a plan at some point? Does this plan take into account any aspects of the reality outside of Obama’s magical vision for a better government? You know actual reality, the one we live in? Or at least most of us…

Barack Hussein Obama, I’d love to believe you look at the long game but based on what I’ve seen so far that’s going to be a tough sell.

Give it your best shot anyways.

Please.
