what does it say to our “allies” in the Middle East if interfere in their affairs and potentially use force to pressure them to go along with our agenda?

It’s not that I wouldn’t like to see Syria’s King (or whatever he is) bombed into submission, it’s just I worry about causing more unrest and violence in the longterm.
