or it could be because it is funny.

Fucking douche…. Trust a self-absorbed liberal to miss the joke.

The idea of saying “shut the fuck up” to a 3-year-old is hilarious and enthralling only if you are channeling an awful lot of that “hot crimson rage.”

Um, douchbag? You’re not supposed to read the book to your kid.

It’s funny because kids don’t want to go to sleep and you can’t say go the fuck to sleep. Not because parents are living lives of quiet desperation. There is plenty wrong with my generation’s parenting habits but that aint it moron. You miss the mark by a mile. Get your head of your tight little ass and see the world abit before you make overly dramatic pronouncement for the sake of being dramatic.

only to parents who are pretty radically subjugating themselves to a certain kind of kid-centered drabness, and judging from the book’s runaway success, that would be a lot of parents.

Why is it so hard so you to understand that someone could appreciate a joke without actually living every moment of their lives?
What makes you an expert on the people buying this book?
do you have a single shred of evidence to back up your made up out of thin air assumption presented as fact characterization of every single person buying this book?
No? Shocker.

You’re like the lady baby boomer retired psychologist who thinks she is in a position to be an expert on the lives of every person she cross paths with on the street and gives out a bunch of way off base unsolicited advice because it never occurs to her that she doesn’t know everything and not everyone needs her help to get through life.

One wonders what kind of childhood the author had, what kind of parent they are. They have to get their whackodoodle ideas from somewhere, right? In anycase they sound like a fairly unpleasant person who children would definitely want them to be around a lot less.

And that is at least based on some information about the author and their own words and opinions, which is a shitload more than the author had to go on before they summarily described themselves as such a god damn expert on the lives of people they hadn’t met.
