I long for a world in which the police are held to the same standards they supposedly uphold. Any normal citizen who used deadly force on someone because they were afraid of that person harming themselves would not only be arrested of attempted murder but forced into a state-mandated evaluation of their own sanity and ability to tell right from wrong.

Until police officers know that they are not above the law they will continue to abuse the citizenry.
